FAQs

Q? How long will it take for my new roof to be finished?
A. After we complete a thorough inspection and have processed the claim, we will schedule the project as quickly as possible. Once we begin installation, we complete the roof within an average of two days. The claims process can take up to three weeks.

Q? Does Peak Xteriors have insurance?
A. Yes. Peak Xteriors is insured with General Liability and Workman’s Compensation. Both of which protect property owners and our company.

Q? What if my contractor’s estimate doesn’t match my insurance estimate?
A. As professional roofing contractors, our roofers are specifically trained to thoroughly inspect the damage. Our inspectors may have found damage that an adjuster did not. If the estimates are different, we will send an estimate of our inspection to your insurance.

Q? How do I file a claim with my insurance provider?
A. Our insurance specialists will walk you through this process step by step. Once we have completed an assessment, we will work with your insurance company on your behalf until the process is complete.

Q? Do I need to get more than one estimate?
A. It is not necessary to have additional estimates. We use high quality software that is approved industry-wide to measure the most accurate pricing. We work diligently to make sure you are only paying your deductible and that your insurance company will cover all other costs.

Q? Who should I call first; my insurance company, or a roofing company?
A. We advise that you call a roofing company first. They should do a free inspection that can assess the damage. Peak Xteriors will help handle your claim from the filing process through completing the job. We also work closely with your insurance company and the adjuster, ensuring that all damages are assessed to get the proper coverage.

Q? What is the time frame for filing a claim?
A. Most insurance companies will only pay claims that are filed within 6 months to one year of the damage. So it is best not to put it off once that damage has been done.

Q? Will my insurance company raise my rates?
A. When damage has been caused by an “Act of God” such as weather-related or natural disaster, the answer is No. This damage will fall in to a no-fault claims category.

Q? What problems can arise from storm damage?
A. There are several problems that can occur with storm damage to your roof. Shingles can be damaged or blown off from strong winds which will make your roof vulnerable to water damage.

Q? How do I know if I qualify for a new roof?
A. The majority of our customers had no idea about their roof damage until a leak was formed. In many cases, severe storms can cause roof damage that is not visible to an untrained eye. We advise that you have a professional perform an inspection to avoid a possible leak.

Q? Does Peak Xteriors have a fee for their claims assistance?
A. No. Our claims assistance is part of our roofing service. We have certified insurance roofing contractors who will work with your insurance company and adjusters at no extra cost to you.
